The Donjon de Rouen is all that remains today of Rouen Castle. This ancient keep, with its thick, stone walls and narrow windows, has withstood the passage of time, from the Hundred Years War, through the World Wars, to the present day. Most famous for its role in Joan of Arc’s trial, the Donjon de Rouen tells its own story about the history of Rouen from the Middle Ages to the present day.
